And people wonder why states like Florida doesn’t register their guns. Meet exhibit A! When government is pissed at it’s people for thinking differently you get this.

Some people I know here in Missouri will buy guns and not register them. There's a dealer who will order them brand new and he'll come by my work. He has those firearms registered as some pin name he has set up because some of my co workers don't want the government knowing that they have those firearms. He sold an AR15 to a guy I work with. I'm surprised he hasn't been locked up for it yet and he even admitted to it.
Used to own several firearms but after getting out of the hospital last October (TL/DR: I had spent a week there for mental/physical health problems) I turned them all in because I didn't want the temptation to use one in case I ever felt like wanting to harm myself (which is originally why I went to the hospital to start with).
It’s to bad you couldn’t have given them to family you trust to hold until you had gotten yourself right.
Personally I wouldn’t mention any mental health issues to anyone except the very closest to you.
Hell I started paying cash for all my doctors visits years ago because I don’t like the doctors keeping written records of every time I visit.
I had considered that but opted not to.
