My mom told my brother and I: “Don't lend money unless you're prepared to lose it.” Well, I don't have money that I can afford to lose.Depends on how much. If it's $20 or less I might loan it out to someone but my mom always told me never to loan out money because it's hard to get people to pay it back.
Do you have a limit on how much money you would give them?If it's someone that I know well I would say sure, but not expect the money back.

I can't get a credit card. Bad credit. lollol that's my go to answer as well. I was taught as a child to never ask to borrow money or to spend money that I don't have. This being examples: (credit cards, loans that I can't pay back, over drafting, etc)
