Can I make a tablet out of a phone?

Like my phone screen got destroyed, so I took it apart and now have hardware parts. Is it possible to turn the phone into a tablet by just adding a bigger touch screen or does it require more things than that?
I mean I will custom build a case and get a touch screen monitor just need to figure out if it can work or not.

The portability part is the biggest issue. Considering my phone is my wallet, can't think of taking a tab out. Besides, I don't think Samsung tablets come with Samsung. Then again Seems easier to use the phone as a tablet these days, but I do have TMobile Digits on my Pixel C, and I occasionally find it useful when I don't have immediate access to my phone.

As long as you have the right connections, you can do it, but you got to figure out how to house it all so nothing is hanging out loose.
