Can We Trust The FDA?

Every medicine will have a side affect. Maybe it actually helped people, over come their issue's with diabetes. But then again it was still causing heart attacks, i think they should of taken it off till they found a solution. but they did place a black-box warning telling people about the risk of heart attacks. So now they have warned you its your choice to purchase it.

Every medicine out there comes with a warning. I trust the FDA but I don't trust the doctors that just hand out medicine like it's candy. When the doctor can't figure out what's really wrong because they are under staffed and under paid they don't follow through. They milk your insurance and put you at risk. It's up to us as patients to educate ourselves and start questioning what and why we are putting drugs in our bodies. Without a solid diagnosis there is NO WAY I would take any type of medication.

No.

They are a government-run department and there is nothing and no one in our government that I would trust to tie my shoes, forget about protecting me from a kitten.

I agree with that.

Even though I don't think people will agree with me, but I'm comfortable with the decision that Avandia is still on the market. There may be diabetics out the who tried other treatments (like metformin, amaryl, insulin) and they don't work, but Avandia does. By taking it away, they may be losing their only method of blood sugar control.
