Some celebrities have been "canceled" for their behavior.

Can you think of any examples?

In those cases, did the celebrity deserve to be canceled?

Why or why not?

Danny Masterson, and yes, absolutely.

I agree with it for those who deserve it but at the same time there are a lot of people who are falsely accused by a malicious person and just the accusation alone completely destroys their lives, so bad that they can never recover.

Yeah. People do need to gather sufficient evidence before they start pointing fingers.

Some people do it on purpose just because they want to watch someone burn to the ground.

Cancel culture definitely exists but I feel like it's greatly exaggerated by some people. Some comedians like Dave Chappelle, for example, will complain about being cancelled and say it with a straight face while he's a millionaire literally performing in a stadium in front of hundreds of people who paid just to see him.

One thing I definitely don't agree with is people going back to decade old tweets and using them to cancel people (James Gunn, Hartley Sawyer, etc.) especially because back then, being edgy and having dark humor was just part of the internet culture. It might not be right but I don't think most people should actually be losing jobs over it.

I remember that period; to be fair, the Right had a point there in that when Gunn's past tweets were published and people were clamoring for his head, conservative commentator Kurt Schlichter said it best...
Their rules.
..as in, "we're only playing by the rules your side set up."

I feel like has been abused by parties on both sides to gain their own traction and money, that the underlying cause and reasoning is mostly destroyed at this point.

This is a HUGE problem. People are so quick to take everyone at their word without any proof. Doesn't matter if it's online or in person, all you have to do is make up something and folks believe it. The biggest problem are the false rape accusations. I fully support legitimate victims, but we shouldn't have a blanket "#believewomen" mentality. There needs to be an investigation and proof, and if it is a false accusation, come down hard on these assholes. Not only are they making it more difficult for actual victims, they have ruined someone's life for no reason.

Seriously, even if it comes out that it was it was a false accusation every single person will forever question if you're a rapist. They will forever have that doubt "Did he pay her to recant?"

Andrew Tate was cancelled. I find it injust because by my opinion, most of his massages were okay if you filter parts of playboy life and exclude his Top G behavior. But he wasn't being toxic as most activist groups nowdays who can say whatever they want. I mean, gender theory is being pushed in schools and people support Andrew being cancelled..

No man is absolutely right in his words, and no man should accept other's people opinions without thinking first. But a lot of young women accept WOKE culture from social media and ruin their lives.

Fully in agreement and I'm a woman.

I don't know much about him but from what I've seen and heard, he is a total douche.
Short clips are taken sometimes out of context or people are lazy to watch long videos. He does have good advices for men + speak of women how to threat them right. Takke care of them, provide for them, protect them.. He spoke of what Matrix wants, to destroy young man.. Lazy to explain. He does playboy lifestyle and that is negative.
Nobody is 100% positive.

He has terrible advice for men, his advice is squarely built around his own ego and his own self-pleasure. The things he's done to women, the things he's accused of having done to women, and his attitude towards women in general show this is no person to admire or respect. If he feels that being a decent person and respecting women is "destroying" young men, then he has a lot to learn. The brother is known for pushing an anti-trans agenda, as well. Clearly not people worth admiring.

Well, I don't support transgender agenda, and? Why would somebody normal support promotion of transgender people? Let's support schizophrenia, let's make people identify as schizophrenic. It's a pure delusion.
He is accused but not judged. = Not guilty.

What you are saying is equaly to: He is accused of rape, so he is rapist. No logic.

Well that's a pretty pathetic comparison, given they're nothing alike. You can be anti-trans, go for it, but provide valid reasoning other than ignorant nonsense.

...yeah, totally what I'm saying. Not at all like there isn't a plethora of evidence already circulating that shows it's no stretch at all to see he and his brother are everything they're accused of.

It's pretty pathetic to support delusion like 100 different genders and telling people they are right about it. That's harmful in many ways and not to mention male fighter competing in female MMA and destroying them. Transgender supporters probably enjoy looking women being kicked and punched by man. :coffee:

I'm a trans woman, and no, no one likes seeing women being kicked and punched. I think you should educate yourself more on what it is to be trans before making such ignorant, blanket statements.

I've heard a lot of terrible things about him including the fact he's being sued by 3 different women. If he is found guilty in a court of law, I do believe he should be cancelled.
