Canceled membership

A few days ago I went to cancel my

gym membership. Can't really afford it anymore.

Dude was hella pushy and trying to

talk me out of it / guilt me. Didn't

work & I left there feeling harassed & pissed off.



Why can't places just let you cancel without an interrogation?

I think it's because they can't afford to lose members and want to know why you're leaving. Sometimes people leave because they are unhappy with the facility, staff, equipment offered or the membership price. If the gym gets enough members leaving over a certain issue, then they know what they have to fix to keep members.

Sure they can ask why I am cancelling but they don't need to be pushy manipulative assholes about it.

I agree 100% with you. They were trying a last ditch effort to try to get you to change your mind but went about it all wrong.
