Ive decided to get a dog. I have been wanting one for years now and I think its time. I have been chatting with someone from craigslist about adopting their purebread 4 1/2 year old Beagle named Carmelo. Im told he is very friendly and mellow. Going to meet him on Tuesday. Hopefully we'll be a match (me and the dog that is). This person tells me that they don't have any yard and the dog is inside most of the time. I have a medium sized back yard for him to roam around in & I can take him for walks every day before work. Me, him and my daughter can go to the park on the weekends.
I dont really want high energy puppy, so Ive been looking for a good adult dog.
I was worried about not being at home so much, but it seems like my 2nd job never gives me work anymore and I am mainly only gone for the evenings 5 days a week. So I think dog ownership will work out for me.
I want a new animal companion, my birds & fish just aren't enough it seems.
