I don't think I've really ever given it a decent try with my cat. She wasn't trained as a kitten to use a litter box, so trying to get her to use that is next to impossible.

We got our cat when it was a kitten from some old lady in front of an wal mart. LOl So we just took it off her hands cause she was going homeless. Good thing it was trained to use the box. At first i didn't give him this untill we got new furniture, i had to get him away from ripping them apart, sometime he gets way too hyper, an is not to friendly when we try to touch him Lol. But it solves our clawing the sofa an chewing our wire problems.

My cat claws the back of our sofa. It's made a bit of a mess of it. She usually does it to gain some sort of attention. The moment we hear her scratching she gets picked up, put outside and left there for a good 2 or so hours before being allowed back in or chased out - one of the two.

I haven't seen her do it for a while. Normally once she knows we're alerted to what she's doing she'll get ready to go out. She knows it's coming. Makes me wonder why she even scratches it - she has a scratching post that she hardly uses.

It needs catnip LOl. Theirs no smell to it that she likes. or buy her a laser an burn her out with ii i use one of them to get him to fall asleep on the nights he feels like playing. It good for the excerise an the hunting skills their made with.

Will remember to add catnip to the shopping list

.

My cat just eats, sleeps and poos. Oh and hunts from time to time. Will seldom play with the newspaper but it's hilarious when she does.

Only try a little bit though, cause some cats react different.

Watch Out For This!

Some cats will eat dried catnip. Often, eating too much can cause cats to be overtly aggressive, typically making them hiss.

That would never had crossed my mind. Thanks for letting me know about that. Much appreciated.

Ah i just buy it prepackaged, an mines is not a mess to clean, i turn it to powder an rub into his toy's or scratcher.

I recall stealing catnip for personal consuption in the 7th grade. It doesnt produce the kind of buzz one might hope for.
