Have you ever needed to change over to your less dominant hand to do stuff because of injury? How did it go?

I’m a lefty, and I’ve never had to switch to my right hand. Don’t think it would go very well if I did.

I've never had to do this myself, but I don't think I would fare well if I had to use my left hand since I'm a righty.

I fractured my right wrist back when I was in 8th grade and had to try using my left as my dominant hand for a month or two while recovering. Let's just say that my handwriting was barely legible.. :P

I had to for a while after I sprained my wrist playing soccer in the 6th grade.

Luckily, I have not injured my dominant side. Although it is most likely to happen, if it does happen, I had trained some of my patients when they were infected with disabilities or impairments on their dominant side.

Yesh. I was really ineffective with it. So I protect my right hand now because I can't deal with my left

I am a righty. I just use my left hand when I type on the computer. And when I do shopping and buy a lot of things, I use both hands to carry the bags.

I am always generally unproductive when I use my weaker hand to carry out tasks. My level of productivity with my weaker hand drops from 100% with the dominant hand to 10% with the weaker hand.

Im a righty but use the left for SOME tasks, like grabbing things etc. I cant throw a ball or write with it though.
