Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon.

Naturally the killer's race and religion was not released. Naturally, he will not be called a terrorist - merely a criminal, lone wolf, or possibly criminally insane.

Let's watch the media whip up a frenzy about this.

...Oh, wait.

I am a big supporter of the death penalty and it looks like that is exactly what this man should get. I think what you are getting mixed up is people like me who are speaking up against the huge spreading militarization and radicalization of Islam across the globe must hate every last one who believes in that religion. That is not the case! I just see the reality that you have a huge infection of hundreds of millions of radicalized believers of Islam and the people of Islam who just want to live there lives not bothering anyone else are staying silent on the matter of there religion being stolen.

And yet you believe the pure fiction 'TheReligionOfPeace.com' attaches to the religion itself, and not the people? Riiiiiigght.

I don't think you hate all of us. :)
I'm as against the likes of Islamic State as you are. Why would I not be angry about things so abhorrently against my religion, wrongly being attached to my religion?

Not sure exactly what you mean here? Can you give a little more detail. Gotta go make the money now but see what you say tonight.

I heard mention of this on the news this morning and my thoughts, condolences & prayers go out to the victims' and their families; no one should die like that and if there was ever a case that called for the death penalty, this is that kind of case. That said, what's equally sad is that the usual suspects are trotting out the usual reasons as to why this crime occurred...quoting:
Although no motive has been given, predictably, the drumbeat began. The killings sparked outrage on Twitter, where users argued the three had been killed because of their religion. The hashtag #MuslimLivesMatter sprung up overnight, a response to what users saw as the media’s failure to cover the shooting. (American Thinker)

Yet, as with most stories of this nature, the shooter's motives - whatever sick & twisted motive it is - may not be what the chattering classes would like us to believe:
The shooter may be an atheist.

The Council on American Islamic Relations also addressed the potential religious motive for the shooting in a Facebook post, quoting a tweet that read: ““Three Muslims murdered tonight in Chapel Hill, NC by a man because they were Muslim. What a sad night in America.”

Police have not issued a statement about possible motives for the shooting, the Raleigh News Observer reported. Hicks, the alleged shooter, frequently shared links about atheism on what appears to be his Facebook page. One such post reads: “People say nothing can solve the Middle East problem, not mediation, not arms, not financial aid. I say there is something. Atheism.” (American Thinker)

Now, either the police are right or CAIR is right...and given CAIR's track record over the years, I'd be more inclined to believe the cops on this one. :|

That said, let me quote AT's Rick Moran once more...
If the guy is an atheist, it wouldn't have mattered if they were Muslim, Christian, Jewish, or Hindu. CAIR - like any grievance group looking for publicity - jumped the gun on motive so that it fits into their "oppressed Muslims" narrative.

These were obviously three fine human beings animated by good hearts. It's a tragedy that they were murdered. We await proof that they were killed specifically because they were Muslims and not because they believed in a higher power of any kind.

Let's just hope the media remembers that last bit and waits to see what the authorities uncover before rushing to judgment here...that said, I hope that if the shooter's found guilty, he rots in the lowest circle of hell.

From another source
Police said a preliminary investigation indicated the motive was an ongoing neighbor dispute over parking. They said Hicks turned himself in and was cooperating with police.

"We understand the concerns about the possibility that this was hate-motivated and we will exhaust every lead to determine if that is the case," Chapel Hill Police Chief Chris Blue said in a statement.

On Facebook, Hicks' profile picture reads "Atheists for Equality" and he frequently posted quotes critical of religion. On Jan. 20 he posted a photo of a .38-caliber revolver that he said was loaded and belonged to him.

"Yes, that is 1 pound 5.1 ounces for my loaded 38 revolver, its holster, and five extra rounds in a speedloader," the post said.

It was not immediately possible to reach a defense attorney for Hicks. The clerk's office at the Durham County District Court said the name of the public defender assigned to Hicks would probably not be made public until Thursday morning.

This was over a parking space? Anyone believe that?

It seems to be another in a long string of liberal leftists these last few years for another senseless killing. Since they can't pin it on a TEA PARTY person or a conservative this will soon disappear in the news like all the rest of them did so quickly.

This is the fault of ISIS who are achieving their ambition of dividing us all with anger and hate.
The only way to win is with love

Sounds familiar.
Ohhhh, yes. Exactly what Washington was doing post 9/11 - and to an even greater degree in the early days of Iraq.
