Checking school lockers?

Well, we get too many books, it'd be a pain if we had to carry everything around.

I support it all the way. I go to school and I have a locker, but that locker doesn't belong to me, I only rented it for the year. If checking lockers is such an invasion of privacy, maybe the public school isn't cutout for you, because in a public school, you have all kinds of people who bring guns, knifes, and weapons to school with intention to harm you. Maybe you will be caught with drugs in your locker, but drugs kill you, too. Bottom line, if you have nothing to hide, why worry? And, if you did have something to hide, just don't hide it in your locker.

Yeah not sure how this is even a debate... It's school property and it's theres... you rent or use that locker (Rent shouldn't be used cause you don't pay them really for that locker, but then again you do for schooling).

It's their property, and your using it... just like at our highschool, if you paid to use the parking lots you are held accountable for not carrying anything illegal in your car on school property, including guns, knifes, weed and even cigs.... lol.

It's not an invasion if they have probable cause, and that's usually the only time they search a locker... it's not a random locker search..

Also the person who used a work place as an example... well that example is irrelevant... as it's not a school, and the person asking you to empty your pocket doesn't own the building (most likely). If they wished to have you empty your pockets because they thought you stole something they would have the police called first... they can't detain you until the police arrive.
