Chick-fil-A is extending its offerings beyond fried chicken. The fast food chain announced that it would be adding pizzas to the menu at one of its US locations, including nugget-topped pies.

The new concept will be rolled out Chick-fil-A's test kitchen Little Blue Door, which is located in College Park, Maryland. Among the pizzas being offered are the Chick-fil-A Pizza Pie and the Buff-lo-Ranch Pizza Pie.

Described as "the classic Chick-fil-A experience on a pizza", the first pie includes toppings such as mozzarella cheese, chopped chicken nuggets, a a drizzle of the restaurant's famous sauce. It's also served with pickles.

The Buff-lo-Ranch Pizza Pie has sliced nuggets, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing and a dusting of lemon pepper seasoning. Classics like cheese and pepperoni and a Meats-n-Veg pizza are also included on the new menu.

The final new item is the Pepperoni Pizza 'Round, which is a "twist on the classic calzone" that's meant to be carried around. It's stuffed with tomato sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni.

“As an innovation kitchen brand, we are constantly looking at what our customers want to better serve them," said Stuart Tracy, Senior Culinary Lead Developer at Chick-fil-A.

"We've noticed our customers getting creative with Chick-fil-A ingredients on pizzas at home, so, we've decided to jump on board! Your taste buds already know the flavors, so it’s love before first bite.”

Little Blue Menu is an innovation kitchen brand created by Chick-fil-A. The name was inspired by the founder’s first restaurant established in 1946, where he tested different items and presented them on a blue menu.

Beyond the usual Chick-fil-A menu, the location offers a variety of other options like bone-in wings, no-fuss burgers and, now, a new twist on pizza.

I heard about this. I wonder if it's just a seasonal thing like the McRib.
