What do you think of the people who force children to take up arms and fight?

What do you think the children feel about fighting in wars?

How do you think a child changes once he or she is given a gun and told to kill people?

Do you think the emotional scars child soldiers suffer ever heal?

Can you imagine fighting in a war at the age of nine or ten?

In what ways do you think child soldiers can be more dangerous than adult soldiers?

Do you think it’s OK to give children guns if they were the only and last chance to protect your country?

The United Nations says it is ok for fifteen-year-olds to fight. What do you think about this?

I'm against it. (n)

What do you think of the people who force children to take up arms and fight?

They are psychopaths

How do you think a child changes once he or she is given a gun and told to kill people?

They become violent and resentful.

Can you imagine fighting in a war at the age of nine or ten?

I just can’t.

Do you think it’s OK to give children guns if they were the only and last chance to protect your country?

No, there are other ways such as making a peace treaty.

The United Nations says it is ok for fifteen-year-olds to fight. What do you think about this?

Unless if they actually consent.

Since other people have given the common/expected responses, I'm going to focus more on the psychological side.

What do you think the children feel about fighting in wars?

It depends on how the child was raised and/or indoctrinated. I mention raised because in some cases, the parents raise their kids to be a soldier. If the child is indoctrinated and brainwashed, they will 100% believe they are doing the right thing and doing what is best for their country/their family. However, for the children who were kidnapped and then forced to become a soldier, they don't believe in nor want to do it, but they have hopes of 'if I do this, I'll see my family again.'

How do you think a child changes once he or she is given a gun and told to kill people?

Initially they are met with shock. 'I'm holding a gun. I don't like this, I don't want it.' but they have to get over that and do what they are told. For the kids that have killed people, most of them will suffer from PTSD for the rest of their life.

However, I should say, not all kids have remorse. Some of them do enjoy killing and/or are cold hearted.

Do you think the emotional scars child soldiers suffer ever heal?

No, and this has been well documented for pretty much any trauma someone can encounter (not just child soldiers). People learn to mask them, hide them, embrace and deal with them, etc, but emotional scars never go away.

In what ways do you think child soldiers can be more dangerous than adult soldiers?

Children generally don't understand guns or death until they are older. They understand a gun is bad, but they don't understand why. As a result of this, yes, child soldiers can be more dangerous because they lack understanding or hesitation.

The United Nations says it is ok for fifteen-year-olds to fight. What do you think about this?

Ngl I could see this happening, because the US is inconsistent as fuck with what age can do what.
