We had the radio on really loud so she couldn't hear the booming outside and closed the curtains so she couldn't see the lightning. That seemed to work.

@Boogie: I'm doing okay considering I dislocated my shoulder last night while lifting an VERY heavy man into the back of the ambulance. Man, did that ever hurt. What hurt even worse was when they popped it back in for me in the ER. Thank goodness they were able to get it back where it belonged!

Just a little sore now but nothing aspirin can't take care off.

He was over 300 lbs. I wasn't alone trying to lift him. When we lift, we count to 3 and yell ready. The Paramedic with me last night didn't wait for me to yell ready and it threw my position off.

No, it's more like a dull toothache pain. Aspirin keeps it under control.

Just can't lift for a few days but then I'll be okay. Thank goodness we didn't drop the guy!

There's only 3 of us on the rig. Two Paramedics and the driver. The driver isn't supposed to lift but he's going to have to do it now!
