Morning!

Why's that, Sci?

No idea o.0. And someone apparently forgot to turn off the shower head. Got a rude awakening a bit ago when I went to wash my hands.

It's Mothers Day here today. Just got back from a very nice lunch. One of the elderly ladies (Rosie) at the Nursing Home thinks I'm her daughter. She has alzheimers and her real daughter doesn't want anything to do with her. I took Rosie out for lunch and we had so much fun!

It was a fun lunch even though she kept calling me by her daughters name. She also kept saying remember when you were little and we did this or that together. Broke my heart that her daughter treats her like she does but I just kept saying Yes, mom, I remember that and what a great time we had.

You really are a good person to do that. Since it would be cruel to take away her illusion of you being her daughter. Makes me wonder if the girl saw that, if it'd change her tune. And well, I gotta get going. Later folks and happy Mother's Day!

At least she has someone who's nice, and willing to spend time. Though it is sad that her daughter abandoned her

Reminds me of my Granda who had Dementia, couldn't remember my Dad or any of his children, but could remember all of his Grandchildren (and there's f*ck tons of them

), but my Dad still made time to go and see him.

Thanks Sci and I love Rosie like she is my mother. Rosie is 87 years old and her daughter is in her 60's. Her daughter dumped Rosie at the Nursing Home four years ago and never came back.

Take care, Sci, and talk to you later!
