Hi, Orion. What's with the RPG plot?

What do you mean? What's it for? Whenever those eggs hatch in my signature, I am going to make a shop on my forum where people can buy them, first you'll get a baby dragon then after it reaches a level it'll grow wings and turn to it's final form eventually. At first the idea was just to assign six moves for each monster allow potions and so on and then they can duel each-other but I want this concept to really take off so I developed actual stories and levels so that people can gain experience and so on before they have championship matches against other players. I think that I've done really well in capturing the RPG atmosphere, as you're moving about, you'll even run across a guy sleeping and have the option to either wake him up, which will make him get angry and turn into a monster, or pickpocket him for cash for the site.

Interesting idea

Lemme know how that turns out!

I always click those dragons when I see them.

But covertly and certainly not asking for Off Topix Bucks, I've got too many as it is

Quite good, just got back from watching the new Harry Potter movie.

With you?

Did you like the new Harry Potter movie? I'm pretty good, I finished watching Prince of Persia, I recently bought the DVD, I've seen it before that though.

I did, I like how they kept the last scene from the book. Really took 'em too long, though, I feel like I should reread and rewatch the whole thing

Based on the game?

The Prince of Persia movie is loosely based upon the Sands of Time video game but they're at the same time totally different, the only thing really in-common is that the main characters a Prince, it has a girl in it, and the Sands of Time. Part of the reason that I got the game was solely because of how much I love the video games, but even still so, it's a good watch.

A prince and a girl, sounds generic enough

Ah well, as long as it's a good watch. I hear these things tend to fail miserably.

To be fair, it wasn't generic whenever they thought of the idea in 1989 when the first Prince of Persia game came out, and I'd like to think that they brought enough elements for it to be original. One thing that I understand needed to occur but bothered me nonetheless is that they gave the Prince a name. In Prince of Persia Classic, Sands of Time, Warrior Within, Two Thrones, Prince of Persia 2008, and Forgotten Sands, they never once said his name. They made several jokes about it but they never revealed it, and people didn't call him Prince either, I don't recall in playing any of those games, them actually calling Prince anything, in Forgotten Sands, Malik called Prince brother twice maybe, but usually it was just back and fourth talking when there was dialogue.

Not naming the character you're playing does wonders for immersion... though I imagine it's hell for the writers

Can't do such a thing in a movie, though

Probably...

Know any movies with an unnamed protagonist?

I honestly don't think it was too tough on the writers, I didn't even think about it and honestly, usually you don't even notice it. I googled to try and find an unnamed antagonist but I got nothing, however, it turns out that Nemo means nobody and nothing, so was the movie Finding Nothing?

If you don't notice, it means the writers did a good job.

But the reason that it's unnoticeable is because they don't bring about situations that make it necessary, it's like how we never know where Fez is from. They make jokes about it but it's easy to work around because they don't make it vital, it's easy to not make things vital, especially with an essentially action-based game where names are irrelevant.

We do know a few countries he didn't come from... maybe we could deduce his origins... (All right, it's fictitious of course, but we could try
