Hey everyone, I'm currently trying to finish writing a chapter of my book. It was originally meant to be something in the way of furtherly establishing the main-protagonist and What he does but it has actually become one of the longest chapters throughout the book so far. Not only that, but I was strongly considering for it to subliminally feature the meeting of the main-protagonist with the main-antagonist for the sequel. I've come to an abrupt realization, I can't think of how to begin this flashback. I was going to go the traditional route of throwing three asterisks to separate present from past, but I've already chosen to utilize that method for separating present from future. Then I started to think that maybe I could write it in italics, but something about that seems kiddie. I could just add a bolded date to make it clear that it's a flashback, but I don't like that either.
