Going to get an epidural this morning to see if it wil help calm the pain in my back. I am terrified. I do NOT like the thought of getting a needle stuck into my spine, and I am seriously freaked. But my pain management doc said it's either this, or surgery and I am NOT going to have someone cutting into my spine.

So, wish me luck. If I'm not paralyzed from this shit, I'll report back when I get home.

I had this done to me when I hurt my back from a fall I took on ice. I was scared to death too. The good thing is that it took my pain away for months at a time. I had 3 done before the pain left and never came back. Wish you the same result but with only one having to be done!

Thanks, Jazzy. I'm back and it was a total breeze! I can feel some improvement already, but Doc said it could take 2 or 3 days to feel the full effect. If this improves over the next couple days, I will be in great shape!! I'm going back in 2 weeks to have another done, and I'm not worried about it any more.

The anticipation was the worst, but when it was done, I too asked, That was it?! I won't be concerned about having this done again.

I knew you'd like that sign. We've all heard that stat before, but it never hurts to put it out there again!

Glad you're feeling some relief. Doc is right as it took me also 2/3 days before the pain was completely gone. Once you get through the first one, any after that are welcomed for the relief they bring.
