My tax code has changed for the new fiscal year, but since I was on holiday for the change, my wages are completely fucked up. And because my boss is unreliable as hell, I can't make a claim with the tax office until I get some updated payslips. Which, knowing him, will be in about two months time. So I'm currently out of pocket by almost $100.
It's total bullshit. But because the store itself is pretty small, and at the bottom of the chain, nobody really gives a shit about it. There's our store and 4 others owned by the same company. All the rest have had full makeovers, uniforms, and all this shiny new equipment. We have less than 50% of our fridges/freezers working correctly, one that can only be opened if you risk cutting yourself on a broken handle, the majority of our lighting doesn't work, no heating system, I could go on. Unfortunately there's nowhere hiring in my area, so I'm stuck lol.
I could only transfer if I move, as the other stores are located two/three cities over. I don't feel like a 1h30m commute every day lol. And as for legality, I don't even know. There were originally plans to update the store to fit in with the rest, but the old owner passed away, and since then his dick of a wife has taken over and to be honest, she's all about the money. We're being forced to spend less on stock, which means we make less money, it's a vicious circle.
I know the heating issue is actually legal, because according to the testers for it (I forget the official name) since the temperature of the store isn't one basic heat, they're not legally required to install heating. As a result, in winter it can easily reach double figures in the minus, even if it's not that bad outside.
