Both of my arms have casts on them, but I can move them around, it's more like I broke my elbows than my arms, and, well, yeah. "/

Good morning. At least you'll get off early afternoon.

:heart2:

It's been so long I can't think of what to say or where to begin. Nice to see some familiar faces still hanging out!

Nice to see you're still alive. :P

Did you go to Japan? I think that's the last thing I remember you saying you were going to do.

I went in December 2011 and managed to snag another trip (free this time!) in December 2012. :D

Nice! Are you fluent now?
How'd you go for free?

Not quite. I'm nearing the end of my first year of university and haven't done a Japanese unit, though I'm looking at picking it up again next year.

There was an organisation running about 600 scholarships to help out in earthquake-affected areas and improve inter-country bonds to Japan which I found out about through school. They sent about 400 kids from Australia and another 200 from SE-Asian countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand etc) and I was one of the lucky ones and did a week in a nice place named Kuji City and then had a week of homestay near Mt. Fuji.

Enough about me for the time being. How's everyone else going?

Kuji City sounds like a fascinating place. Did you see the Ama female skin divers while you were there?

No, but we got to speak to the fishermen who captained their boats through the waves of the tsunami, which was incredible.
