Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week, everyone.
Wuzz up? Hows it going?Indeed, send 'em the Bezos!
I'm having a nightmare of a day, honestly. I'm diabetic, I use an insulin pump in order to, basically, live. I needed to refill the reservoir on that pump, so I took my vial of insulin, the last one I have at the moment, needing to run to the pharmacy for a refill, went to fill the reservoir and then the plunger on said reservoir slipped out, leaking my insulin all over the floor. I have none left. I went to the pharmacy, apparently my prescription has run out and I need my doctor to fax a new one. Well...my endocrinologist just left her practice this week. So, I have no doctor to fax a prescription. I'm calling every endocrinologist I can find, to no avail, they're either not taking patients or they don't take my insurance. So, as it stands now, I'm stuck somewhere between probably needing to go to the ER when the hyperglycemia causes ketoacidosis that leads to a coma and potentially not living anymore.Wuzz up? Hows it going?

Had better days
How are you doing?
Yep, I've tried everything I can find. I'm on hold with another hospital at the moment, trying to find options, but so far...nothing.Thats horrible! I hope you find another endocrinologist ASAP.Have you tried all the neighboring cities too?

Yep, it's not so far, but nothing seems to be working at the moment in terms of finding someone...keeping the fingers crossed. That stinks! I hope the holiday weekend doesn't make things more difficult for you as well.
If you go somewhere that doesn't take your insurance, how expensive will it be?Yep, it's not so far, but nothing seems to be working at the moment in terms of finding someone...keeping the fingers crossed.
Prohibitively, it's around $200 just to be seen, then they'll need labs and everything done.If you go somewhere that doesn't take your insurance, how expensive will it be?

A sliver of hope. My primary called me just now because I've been calling literally everyone, lol, they've set me up with a video visit for tomorrow with my primary who MIGHT be able to get me a bridge prescription and find me an endocrinologist within his network. Best lead I've had so far!Thats no good! Hopefully you find someone who accepts your insurance.
