Not routinely. And tasers are carried in the car (not on the officer) and locked in a metal box.

Wow thats strange, ours carry several guns (as well as tasers, mace and whatnot) and a loaded shotgun in the center of their car usually.

But that's America. Ours carry pepper spray, ASP baton and.... that's about it.
