I've developed a cough and still have a cold.
@Jazzy: i've been handing my cv in at every pub found, none have got back to me and none are hiring. Im going to chase them all up again though and see what happens. Going to hand my cv to three places this week that are not advertising but my other halves mum said they were looking for staff.

Hello Boogie! How's the job situation there? It's really bad where I am right now.
Sadly the same here.. The lady I went to see at the job centre today for a review was really.. How can I put it.. Mean. She was making it out - in my mind anyway - that I wasn't trying hard enough to find a job. Now I have a new job search agreement and have to start looking for job 1 hour and a half away!
She's relying on me to use public transport and she knows darn well I want a job in bar work and the buses stop around here about 11pm and pubs are open till like 12am/1am.
So now, she's expecting me, to waste all my wages on getting a taxi home, when we have bills to pay and dogs and ourselves to feed!!
I realize you're wanting to be involved in Pub work. But why not do something else until something like it comes available? I think in a way, you're only limiting and hurting yourself by only going after Pub jobs. I hope saying this has not offended you.
@Sci: im not limiting my job search. Im looking at retail work as well as i've done it before.
