Just dropped Busco and Bandit off at the kennels and now off to my parents for two weeks. Spending New Year with my side of the family.

That's wonderful! It's going to be hard leaving him when you go back home.

I know, but I know he's in good hands and will take good care of him. Plus I'll see him everytime when I go back. I got a little upset last night at the thought of leaving him behind.

We've packed up his toys and his food for my parents.

Like you said, he's going to a good and loving home. You can't ask for anything better than that! Plus, you'll be able to see him when you visit.

I know, but it's still not going to be easy. I know my parents will take care of him and I know he's in good hands, but it'll still be strange without him.

Giving up an animal is a very tough thing to do. I had to give up a kitten as I really couldn't keep it. My older cat was afraid of it and my dogs chased it. I had to do what was best for the kitten and that was finding it a good home. I missed the kitten but I knew I did the right thing. Just you're doing the right thing by having your mother take Skipper for you. It's not easy and I know that.
