@EE: I wanted to go to Nick Varano's Famous Deli in Boston while I was there. I didn't want to go alone so I ditched that idea. When I told my guy about it, he told me it sounds great and that's where we will go to eat lunch.

Why not establish somebody new? Personally, I believe that the intelligent thing to do to create a black character was to have made the Green Lantern black because we were actually used to it with the Justice Leagues and so on. Maybe they should get rid of Captain Marvel since nobody cares about him now and he's no longer prominent, keep the costume and make him black but call him Captain Thunder.

Yeah but its easy to have a black character as a Green Lantern since there's so many Green Lanterns as it is.

I know that I'm talking about it as if Marvel should have done that whenever DC owns Green Lantern but I don't care. Personally, I'd really have instead just made the Green Lantern movie played by a black guy, and bring back Captain Thunder but not with a complete copy of Marvel's costume add some moderate tweaks, scrap Captain Marvel and the Shazam garbage, and start actually pushing the Nightwing character because there's actually money in him in my opinion. I kept rifling through ideas and you know what would have been huge? If instead of having Batman square off against Bane, we actually have The Dark Knight Rises as twenty-years into the future enabling for them to actually give Nightwing his own movie, recreate the costume slightly but not too much. I went with Nightwing because it'd be essentially the same thing as Batman Beyond without being Batman Beyond, they could introduce new characters with Tim Drake, and could set up for a final movie, The Dark Knight Beyond or something. Then of course, we get a new re-imaging of the series with Batman back in-action.
Just about to head off to bed. Plus, its currently throwing it down outside, its not nice!!

Well from what I know, Green Lantern started out with Hal Jordan who is white. And I think its just that he would be more recognizable in a movie then say John would have been. And as I mentioned, Nightwing did take the Batman roll after Bruce went through a trip through Time thanks to Darkseid. But now that Bruce is back, I think Nightwing will be Nightwing again. And from what I understand in the films. You'll never see Robin and perhaps never see Nightwing. Something about Realism or some crap. But what you are talking about would have been cool to see!
