I just got back from the local nursing home. They had a birthday party for one of the seniors that took a liking to me. She's celebrating her 89th birthday today. It was fun listening to all the stories the seniors tell and the cake was very yummy!

@Boogie: It was a lot of fun. I try to visit the nursing home as often as I can. Some seniors have no family that come to visit them and (to me) that's very sad. The birthday senior has a daughter that only lives an hour away but she never comes to see her mother. I don't know how people can just put their mother/father in a nursing home and never come to spend time with them. Oh well, I've been adopted by several seniors as their own daughter. That's why I make sure I visit as often as I possibly can.

That's just so sad, I could never do that - put a member of my family into a nursing home and never go to visit them.

I am glad you enjoy spending time there and going to see them as often as you can. I'd love one day, when he's older for Skipper to be a registered PAT ( Pets As Therapy ) dog and take him to the local nursing homes and local hospitals.

[font=tahoma, geneva, sans-serif]That would be such a wonderful thing to do. I hope one day Skipper can be a registered PAT!

Let's just hope Skipper is done humping things!

Since he's been 'done' he's a completely different dog! He loves cuddles, gives lots of kisses, nearly always comes when he's called..

Not like before, he was an ignorant sod!!
