Morning all! Nearly ended up with a fire in our house last night.. Fish tank pump was making a awful noise last night before I went to bed. Went to check it and it was smoking! The water in the tank had gone down and it was still going round as if it was pumping the water around. Lucky i managed to get to the switch and turn it off!

Thank goodness it made a noise to alert you something was wrong! Hope you didn't lose any fish because of this.
