A little sad because I did like him, we had a lot of common interests, but looking at the bigger picture and our relationship in the long run, it wasn't mean't to be.

I tried to get him to not go out on the Friday I had off but he just tried to get me to go out with him and his friends. Had no concern over the fact that if he drinks a fair few pints then he might well be over the limit the next day to drive, but I told him that and he just ignored my concerns.

I had a feeling you would end up breaking up with him and even though it's painful, I feel you made the right choice. A man who could put material things above the love of his life is not truly in love with you. It's obvious he finds more joy in booze then he does in you and that's sad as I know you had so much more to offer him then that booze ever could.

I am not surprised to see he would lie and twist the truth to his advantage. When you live a life of lies, truth becomes the enemy.

I am sure you will find someone who truly loves and appreciates you in time. It is most unfortunate this one couldn't be it. His exit may pave the way for the right one to take its place. I suppose only time will tell but for now it's best to focus on moving past the breakup.

@Stormrider: Sorry to hear this but I saw it coming too. Glad you put your foot down and called it quits. You're beautiful and have so much to offer the right guy. HE wasn't the one. As stated already he put booze before you and lied. You don't need this extra stress in your life. I'm sure, in time, you will find a guy that wants to spend time with you and treat you the way you deserve to be treated.

Tomorrow is payday and I'm gonna buy a new phone. One with a battery that lasts all day. I'm tired of being a slave to charging this piece of junk I call a phone.

Ordered my phone, it should be here Tuesday. If I go into the store and buy it, they'll charge me an extra $15 to activate it. If I receive it in the mail, I can activate it myself for free. Odd policy but whatever. The package requires a signature and hopefully they'll come before 1pm otherwise they'll leave a "Sorry we missed you note" every day til I'm home, for like 3 days. Then I'll have do go down to the FedEx office and pick it up. So I'm guessing I wont get to use my new phone til next Friday
