I dunno, whenever I work holidays, I sometime regret the other option, here its either your double time or you get a day off in the next month from your regular schedule.

When I used to work in retail, we would get written up if we called in on important holidays. If I was going to do something with my family, I would call in anyway and just take the write up.

Either way, if you don't work the holiday, for most holidays you get paid.

Just it is nice sometimes to get double that pay, right xD
