Singer Chris Brown has outraged his neighbors after decorating the exterior of his Hollywood Hills home with spray-painted murals.
CBS Los Angeles reports the "monster graffiti" has become a talking point in the exclusive neighborhood.
Brown, 24, has already been cited by the city for the colorful painting and will be fined if the mural isn't removed from the four-story mansion.
Patti Negri, who represents some of Brown's neighbors said the murals were unacceptable.
"I get all the phone calls and I get all the emails. People are just upset by it," she said.
City Councilman Tom LaBonge said the artwork is against the city's ordinance for "unpermitted and excessive signage."
"He has a beautiful home that he lives in, but that type of image is not what is allowed by code," he said.
Brown's next door neighbor Vincent Bouvier has defended the colorful paintings, saying Brown should be able to do what he wants to his property.
