Dolly Parton On Christians Condemning Homosexuals: ‘The Sin Of Judging Is Just As Bad As Any Other Sin’

Dolly Parton draws a diverse crowd. She’s a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and has a huge ‘red state’ following, but at the same time she’s an icon to the LGBT community.

So one might wonder if things get a bit weird at Dollywood, which attracts fans from all quadrants of her following.

Parton said that she has little tolerance for anyone who would discriminate against any of her fans in a new interview with Billboard.

“It’s a place for entertainment, a place for all families, period,” she said of her Tennessee amusement park. “It’s for all that. But as far as the Christians, if people want to pass judgment, they're already sinning. The sin of judging is just as bad as any other sin they might say somebody else is committing.

I don't care if you're a fan of Dolly Parton or not. This thread is not about her. It's what she said about Christians (see the bold print).

Do you agree with her statement about Christians? Why or why not?

True of anybody, not just Christians!
Most "True" Christians that I know, very much accept same sex couples and marriage, etc.
Just as God and Jesus (and the Pope too) do, as God made them with and like everybody else!

Gays and Lesbians that I know are some of the nicest and most Christian people I know!

I'm not gay, and I have no idea how any natural man can see ANYTHING 'sexually attractive' in another man. And, for that matter, I do see that 'diversion' as a sin.

BUT.

I agree with Dolly. It is GOD'S job to judge each and every one when the time comes.
