Are you comparing yourself to an animal? Surely not. Dogs go around smelling each other's crap, but that doesn't mean I'm going to go around smelling everyone's feces.

What rationalization would there be for all these animals to exhibit homosexual behavior other than it being in their DNA? (Dogs, Penguins, Dolphins, Apes etc) If you really think sexual orientation is a choice, you are severely deluded.

Well I think gays need rights, it's not right that straight people can prance around and be unharmed. But then a gay person comes by and they get brutally beaten all because they are gay.





• Protection against discrimination in employment, housing and immigration.

This is good, because people can be themselves and not be fired just because they liek girls or boys or both.

I'm sure you straight people wouldn't like it if you were fired because you were straight



• An expansion of hate crime laws to include sexual orientation.

This is good, people will get in trouble if they hurt a homosexual or bi or whatever.

It's not right that you are allowed to HURT someone all because you like the same gender.

I'm sure straight people wouldn't like it, if they got hurt all because they were straight!



• Domestic partner benefits similar to those granted to married couples.

I for one hate the word Partner, it makes it sound like heterosexuals are better than homosexuals (in which they arent'!) I mean why the heck can I call a straight couple a couple and you call me a partner?! WTF?! Is up with that? that is so onesided!

• The right to marry or have their relationships recognized in “civil unions.”

That's good, but I don't believe in marriage. Heterosexuals totally ruined what marriage even means, they are always cheating on eachother. I also think marriage should only be for christians, but that's just me

. But it's good for anyone that wants to get married.

Civil unions is good too.



• The ability to serve in the military without hiding their sexuality.



Liek OMG there is gay people trying to fight fur me oh noes!

And that's why the world is full of retards....I mean idiots....

My gawd, whoever made the rule that they couldn't serve in the military needs to go back to school for being to stupid. My gosh, all because they like the same gender. Doesn't mean jack! There are plenty of people that are tough and homosexual!

If they are so panicked, they could just have different tents or something like that.

I'm against all gay rights, but if you're going to be gay, be gay, stop parading down the street, just be gay and get on with your life. I'm straight, but I don't go parading down the street or fight for straight rights in areas where gays are largely accepted.

Not everyone does that! >.> I sure don't! Alot of people don't!



Okay, so if someone is beaten for being gay. Then it's okay?



If someone loses their job all because they are gay, it's okay?

Cause that's what it sounds like your saying? I am sure you wouldn't want to be beaten all because you are straight or lose your job all because your straight.

If you are proud and happy with who you are then why are you hiding in the closet?

Well, it's his private business. He doesn't at all need to come out to random people in his school, he should only to his friends.





Also on a side note, I think animals are pansexuals. They seem to not care, all they want to do is live life and make babies. Not to mention the male dogs hump anything! Think about it, they'll try and make babies with males, females, humans, other animals and even cookie jars!

I see quite a lot of closedmindedness in here, unfortunately. It is my belief that gays should have the same rights as everyone else. Unfortunately, due to a lot of people who seem to hold hostility towards gays this has had to become a matter of legal rights instead of just something that they have by default. I'm not gay (or straight, for that matter), but I do rather wish that people could get over the whole OMG, u r gay! U no God made us to be straight, right? complex that they've got going. I saw a good graph that sums up my beliefs on this matter quite well.



As for the question of why one who is proud of their sexual orientation wouldn't want to come out of the closet, I actually have an answer for that from personal experience. See, being a pagan, I have rights built into the constitution that I'm allowed to worship however I like, more or less. That being said, I grew up in a town where most of the people around me put the 'mental' in Fundamentalist Baptist. Therefore, out of survival instinct, if nothing else, I said I was Baptist as well. Am I ashamed of my religion? No. Am I going to come out and say it? No.
