You know, @PGen98, those grand moments in motorsport?

Whether on the high-banks of Daytona, the flowing turns of Silverstone, the long straights of LeMans or even the most famous hilltop in racing (Mt. Panorama, Australia), there are moments that transcend time.....here's a thread for them (and for everyone here) to enjoy. We'll begin with this classic from Bathurst 1992......

It was always going to be well-remembered though for tragic reasons (Kiwi legend Denny Hulme died of a heart attack during the Bathurst 1000) and race co-winner Jim Richards, upon seeing the crowd's reaction at him and Mark Skaife winning (in a Japanese entry, no less) let fly with this classic gem of a quote....
"I'm just really stunned for words, I can't believe the reception. I thought Australian race fans had a lot more to go than this, this is bloody disgraceful. I'll keep racing but I tell you what, this is going to remain with me for a long time, you're a pack of arseholes." — Jim Richards – Bathurst 1992
