A CNN crew was robbed while trying to film a segment at City Hall in San Francisco, correspondent Kyung Lah revealed through Twitter on Friday, providing an image of the windshield to their rental car smashed in.

you gotta love it

Whenever I am in SF I make sure there is NOTHING visible in my car. Everything goes in the trunk. They'll bust your window for a pack of gum (literally).

I wonder if that makes people want to use public transportation instead as to avoid having the car they worked so hard for to be vandalized or busted up. The insurance deductible isn't cheap.

If you live in that city then you would most likely use public transportation. Not just because of the break-ins but because there is no parking anywhere. Doing simple things like going to the grocery store or the bank is a nightmare. You have to circle a block 18 times before you find a parking space.
