Commercials on TV back in the day

Before the internet, DVR's and streaming we just had television.

TV channels had so many commercials. How did you feel about them?

Did you usually watch them, go do something else for 2 minutes or change the channel?

I think commercials back then were a little more entertaining, but they were still annoying!!

My grandpa had a VHS of the Red Skelton Show and the commercials went by so much quicker compared to these days. I think he used to record the old episodes. Sadly don't think we have the VHS tape anymore.

Perfectly timed to allow me to get up and go get a drink or snack.

But you don't need a drink or snack every 7 minutes (which is how often the ads would show up on TV shows back then)

I guess not so much "back in the day", but in more recent years some of the GEICO commercials especially just crack me up...almost even a form of entertainment.
