My longest commute to get to work was about fifty miles to a job I only had for a couple of months. Usually my trips were much shorter. (For awhile, almost within walking distance.)

Nothing like this guy:

Thurmond Alford wakes up before the sun rises so he can get started on a his commutes: 220 miles, round trip, every day, from Richard, Virginia, Washington, D.C. It's a dream job at the Dept. of Justice, and Alford says there's one reason he does it: "It's all about family."

I am 10 miles from my job.

Takes me about 10 or 15 minutes to get to work. I don't like commuting very much.

My longest commute hasn't been very long at all. Well, around 15-20 minutes when I student taught, but now basically 10-15 minutes for both jobs.
