What were you taught in school that turned out to be completely useless?

California state history in 4th grade, why does that even matter? I'll bet half the kids in my class live in different states by now.... Nobody else in the country is learning California history. They're doing a unit on their own state at that time.

Elementary schools just do things to kill time, it seems.
