When was the last time your computer crashed or froze? What were you doing to make it do that?

Music Production was mixing a track down, with 20+ tracks an effects all enabled, an played the song didn't realize the VST i used for master would hog so much CPU an it went over load

300 layer Photoshop file. Full size poster (4.5m wide by 2m high) at 350 dpi.

Twas big, should have sent the scratch file bigger/to a faster disk. Was alright though, only lost ten minutes of work.

The benifits of saving ever ten minutes I guess.

The last time my computer crashed or froze was when I was using Windows ME. Windows ME does not like being used. Every second you use it is another second that you're going against its purpose, which is to not work.

Serious? Is your computer old. Have you cleaned it?

I think that since I live in a very wooded rural area and can only access the internet via a dial-up connection has a lot to do with it.

I know how you feel I'm going through the exact same thing. Either that or my power supply is no good

It's a laptop though. I don't really feel comfortable opening it myself.

I had a IBM thinkpad, that just unscrewed the bottom an a key board an their it was, blew out the dust. It worked great after till i split water on it

Try a laptop cooling pad/fan

With mine you pretty much have to disconnect everything before you get to the ventilator.
