Nine times out of ten, when you go shopping for a computer you look for specific things about a computer before you decide to buy it. What are some things you look for specifically when deciding which computer to buy?

For me, I look for the following:
- Great Graphics card for gaming.
- Big hard drive 750G or 1TB for ultimate storage.
- AMD 10, or Core i7 processor both are equivalent to each other, however AMD runs better.

The main things I look for are quality high speed processor and as much RAM as I can afford. I don't use a huge amount of hard drive, but I do spend a lot of time on computers, so my main concern is speed.

Is it a Mac?

I'm done with Windows so I'll only buy Macs now. Just a preference.

For their price, I'd expect to never need a new computer ever again.

OT: I just look for better specs than my existing model. I only upgrade when my current computer breaks down; currently I'm running a laptop that's almost four years old, so I could get the same specs for a much lower price than I originally paid.

I bought a cheap computer last year because I don't really do any gaming and didn't need to buy a fancy one with all the bells and whistles. It still performs well and it probably could handle a few of the popular PC games out there.

I got this one:

Mine has 6 gigs of ram though because the ram from my old computer fit into my new computer. I also turned my old hard drive into an external, which adds another 800 gigs. :P

I look for CPU and graphics mainly. RAM is nice to have, but it certainly isn't as crucial as the two aforementioned components. I just recently built my first custom machine, and I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Here are the specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770k
Memory: 8GB DDR3-1333 (this is the component I mainly want to upgrade)
Graphics: AMD Radeon 7870 GHz Edition
Storage: 128GB Mushkin SSD (OS and games)
1.5 TB SATA HDD (data)
