Tour de France winner Alberto Contador's blood tests from the Tour came back dirty.



He said it was from hormones in the meat he had been eating.



Expert says otherwise.

Could have been from the meat as the result came back positive for clenbuterol:

Clenbuterol residues can affect lung and heart function in persons who have eaten liver or meat of animals given the drug. In the United States, no human illnesses have been associated with clenbuterol use in food animals. But, several outbreaks of reversible, short-term illnesses in Europe have been traced to ingesting clenbuterol residues in European beef liver.

Yes, it COULD have come from his food.



But not at the levels in the sample.

They're going to have a hard time proving it didn't. Everyone absorbs chemicals at a different rate or intensity into their bodies.
