If you could convince the entire human population of one thing, what would it be?

(It could be something that you feel passionately about, or something that would benefit you the most, or would just be really fun to watch.)

To stop reproducing and let human race go extinct. Humans seem to have some twisted fetish for looking for problems and / or creating them where there are none. So, no humans = no problems.

If you're mentally ill, get help. The shooting up schools and whatnot needs to stop.

I'd like to convince mankind to give up religion and the belief in mythological deities. I would encourage everyone to take up education and free thought.

How does them believing in such things affect you though?

Lets ban the guns so they can't do that in the first place.
A total ban isn't going to work, but making it difficult to impulsively buy a gun and requiring stringent training to possess one is very important.

In any case, what would I convince the entire human population of? To be kind to one another no matter what their ethnicity, sex, socioeconomic status, sexuality, etc. I think the world would be way better off if we were just a lot nicer to one another, but that requires empathy which the human race lacks.

It worked for so many other countries.
The problem is, the United States is a weirdly special case where its citizens believe its a God-given right to be handed a gun right out of the womb. The government would have a civil war on their hands if they came for people's guns.

Some do, at least it sure seems like that.

People have a bad habit of forcing their beliefs onto others. When someone forces their religion onto someone else it's abuse.

I've dealt with Christians who were extremely forceful with their beliefs. One example is this guy I dealt with at work that was a religious bigot. He harassed people including myself over it. He was extremely atheophobic and didn't listen to a damn word I had to say to him when he confronted me why I wasn't a Christian. He stooped to name calling and referred to me as ignorant. He would debate endlessly with the other salesman about Christianity and how their beliefs were wrong. I went and filed a complaint with my boss and she agreed that he should keep it to himself and do that after hours. He eventually quit to go start his own church.

Another example is when I was growing up, My mother & her church shoved it down my throat to the point it caused me to have religious trauma. It happened again with my ex wife towards the end of our marriage.

Often the abuser is a religious leader attempting to control or manipulate someone lower in the religious hierarchy, such as a volunteer, community member, or visitor. It may be a parent using religion to abuse a child, or a spouse drawing on religious doctrine to assert their right to dominate or control their partner.

Ah I see. I suppose religion and religion pushers are more prevalent in your part of the country. Seems like people seem to keep their beliefs to themselves (for the most part) over here.
