When cooking fish at home do you buy fresh or frozen ?
whole fish or fillets ?
what fish is your favourite to cook and eat?

My preference is fresh, of course. But availability wins, so it's usually frozen.
I like fillets; so easy to prepare & cook.
My favorite fish is most any kind of cod that's available; we also eat a lot of salmon.

Seafood in general is quite different in this part of the country from what I grew up with; which consisted in a large part of smaller perch, sunfish & catfish; which were whole and usually fresh-caught & not 'store-bought'.

Always fresh, never frozen, fillets. I get most of my fish at Whole Foods at the little fish market inside or Albertsons. I love cod, tilapia, and on occasion salmon but I have to be in the mood. My husband will fry the cod with beer batter mix and tilapia in flour. Now I like to either bake the tilapia with garlic roasted potatoes and sauteed spinach with a tad of garlic. I also will put it in the pan with a bit of extra virgin olive oil afterwards putting it over some yellow rice. The salmon I put it in the pan too sometimes pairing it with noodles or just vegetables.
