Police in Sweden were less than impressed after a man reported a couple to officers - for having sex in their own home.

The 34-year-old man told police he was looking through the window of a house in Blekinge, southern Sweden, and saw a couple making love.

Apparently outraged by what he had seen, he contacted police immediately and reported the lovers for sexual harassment.

But local police were having none of it, and closed the case.

"Having sex in your own home is not a crime," officer Johan Berntsson told the Blekinge Läns Tidning newspaper.

What a nutter! If anything, he should have been charged for being a "Peeping Tom"!

Well... as for the couple... why didn't they close the curtains? Seems a bit weird to me that they didn't and since they didn't, how can a neighbor or passer by on the street (if they lived on street level) who sees them be charged with peeping? Since the couple took no measure to have privacy.

A whole new meaning to the term "Big Brother is watching you".

And I have a feeling that the laws about 'peeping' may be somewhat different there than here.

Also, since it is Sweden, the 'peep-er' didn't have to worry about catching a face full of buckshot when he was looking in their window.

So like he could see into their house from his house? ...or was he like up against their house peeking through the windows?

People like that annoy me. If you don't like it, look away. They should arrest him for harassment.

I can't see how if he was just walking by he would have seen this. He had to have gone up to the house and looked through their window. As far as not having curtains or shades drawn, this is their home to do in it what they want.

Well, I wouldn't have sex in my own home with curtains open so anyone can see unless it was the top floor with no buildings in sight from the windows. If it was night time and they had lights on, for example it's not so difficult to see inside. If he was walking, the terrain matters whether or not he can see inside easily or not without needing to walk up to the house and deliberately look inside. To me it seems a bit weird if he'd walk up to it and tip toe into looking in a window and then call a cop. To me it just sounds like an old fashioned older man who was simply offended that it was possible for an outsider to see it happening.

Off topic :P I have cousins in Sweden. *wonders off*
