Cops went down my streets hauling big time.. Lights and sirens and at least 100 MPH. One way street. Cop car stopped and cop jumped out and just started running and I heard someone said, I hope you catch him, and the cop hasn't returned yet. Just happened. About to go back outside and see if the cop is still going after the guy or not. Crazy.

Crazy, I hope he catches the person. I'm thinking of joining my local police force, not sure yet...

Crazy. Why'd the cop get out of the car? Hmm, hope that nothing bad happens.

You shouldn't leave your house... who knows who might be in possession of what. You don't want to end up with a bullet lodged in yourself.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get a few ride-alongs with the cops later this year.

They caught him; he was laying on the ground getting handcuffed. He ran in this field, but the cops caught up with him.

Thats cool, happy the cops managed to catch him!

Fun stuff. My old street had stuff like that happening all the time!

Where I moved to, I havent seen anything. Actually its really quite and nobody bugs us.. Even though this is known as a bad neighborhood as well.

Maybe its gotten better than it used to be and the reputation stuck.

I always love watching how my police force always fails

Cleaning up the crackheads and hookers that will be out there again doing the same thing in 2 weeks (when they get out of jail) doesn't really seem like a rewarding job. Also you could get killed in the process.

... Just one Nebulous's opinion.

Hookers isn't a problem here, it's legal. And crackheads aren't a huge problem here either. We have more an alcohol problem.

If alcohol is your biggest problem then you should consider yourself lucky.

Alcohol is the cause of a good slice of the problems. Here's a few stats to look at:

New Zealand Police said:
Out of all reported crime, police note alcohol is a factor in:
  • a third of all violence
  • a third of all family violence
  • half of all serious violence
  • half of all drugs and anti-social offences
  • at least 1 in 5 cases of sexual offending
  • 1 in 4 traffic offences
  • 1 in 5 traffic crashes
  • 1 in 4 property offences.

Wow. 85% I'm assuming that is in the US. Horrific numbers. I don't know if it's a good thing for alcohol to be a factor - alcohol does crazy things to some people and those people can't control themselves. If it were 85% of sober people doing it, then people know they are hitting their partners, kids.

I feela lot more secure where I live than anywhere alse although the police helicopter has being looking for someone in my town for a month now. Oh yeah there was tgis horrible story that happened a few streets away from me this man had a pistol and he shot my friends cat 40 times, and the cat went into the house meowing with blood pouring from its body and they got the cat to the vets quick enough and luckily the cat survied and all the bullets where took out most of themin the leg and around the stomach no operations needed and the offender was captured, True story.
