Corrupted and Unreadable Folders

Thought this was the best place for this topic. So recently I somehow caused my Download folder to be corrupted and unreadable, and I've got no idea what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks! I'm rather glad about it too cause I also have a couple of pictures of an ex in there that I would have hated to have lost.
