Are we seeing a trend in the world where countries are becoming more conservative again?

Yep, i think that the European Union will no longer exist in 5-6 years..

A lot of this stuff comes and goes in waves, and the post-Covid recessions a lot of countries are going through are tossing out the incumbent parties around the world.

I know Canada is going back this way; the liberals have destroyed Canada.

They've destroyed California now too. Maybe people will wise up that their decisions and policies aren't worth having?

If government programs are slashed there needs to be real jobs to replace them and decent prices. I don't see it on the horizon so how can conservatives implement their vision?

The Great Depression was a big setback to conservativism in the US. The congress and presidency were mostly Democrat for 20 years straight.

We've definitely seen a global movement back towards conservatism. It extends beyond whoever the President is, and it extends beyond the US. It will flip back.

It's really becoming conservative because the other sides went too far to the extreme! Now if conservatives start becoming too far right, then things will start to flip again, but for now, I'm enjoying the reprieve that we're having.

Conservatism is more efficient. But if people are not financially responsible, they fall hard.

For instance, for someone with good credit and a job, there are plenty of ways to survive and thrive.

In fact, just a steady job alone is enough to secure a car in some dealerships.
