There are lots of crime dramas on tv. Such as NYPD Blue, Law & Order, The Sopranos and CSI.

Do you watch these types of shows? Which ones are your favorites? Why?

The Wire was my favorite when it was still running. And they filmed this show in Baltimore, MD so when I watched I was surprised by how accurate a depiction it was.

Personally, I think all crime dramas are the same, even detective-based ones. Although, I don't watch any of them other than Love/Hate (an Irish crime drama that's currently shown on STV).

My favorite of all time was 24. Sadly, it's no longer aired.

24 is an American television series produced for theFox Network and syndicated worldwide, starringKiefer Sutherland as Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) agent Jack Bauer. Each 24-episode season covers 24 hours in the life of Bauer, using the real time method of narration. Premiering on November 6, 2001, the show spanned 192 episodes over eight seasons, with the series finale broadcast on May 24, 2010.
