We receive criticism every day--for the most part--in every aspect of our lives. There are a few forms of it as well, be it constructive criticism, for instance, as a writer learning the craft and growing as an artist, to what is sometimes referred to as 'flaming'. Flaming can be construed as nonconstructive criticism that does not benefit the receiver in any way.

Whether it be from our bosses at work or from spouses about how to do the chores properly. Is criticism something you're able to handle well? Or are you sensitive and unable to handle it?

I can handle it in regards to work. If someone complains or criticises me or my work, I can use that to build upon and improve. Sometimes I need a little criticism to keep me on my toes and out of the slacker comfort zone.

When someone I care about criticises me, I take it a little more personal.

Criticism in my work and (what you are learning as well) is a must, either it is constructive or not. You have to be open for all audience and their reviews and act accordingly. Like if somebody is flaming for no reason, ignoring him/her would be the healthiest practice. I accept all forms of criticism.

That's a good way of looking at it. I have to be criticized at work as well, but it is always constructive criticism to help me grow.

I used to get some flames when I wrote, and at first it sucked but I ended up building a thicker hide and focusing only on the constructive criticism I got because that was what was going to help me grow and benefit me the most.

i can handle simple critisicm for my gfx artwork. But some project ive sweated on for hours or days, just to be bashed by negative comments hurt me..thus sends me in a spiraling depressed state that takes weeks to get over. And in some instances, it can linger for years

If you really put your effort into something and you truly believe in it, then just give the haters the fucking finger :)
