Crying in public?

Unless there was any reason I could see that they were crying, I would walk over and ask them if I could help with anything, usually, someone has just had a bad day or something has happened and they just need a minute but I would feel awful for walking away after seeing someone crying not knowing that I had tried to help them unless I knew they were already being attended to.

Probably would depend on the situation I was in as to how I would react. If I was sitting in close proximity to an old lady and she started crying , I might interact, ask how she is etc. Probably would not react the same to man crying, sorry that's sexist, but I would be more suspicious of that. But, again, would depend on the situation. Are we sitting together somewhere at an event versus passing someone in a aisle. Situation and context would be important

I am suspicious of anyone publicly crying. An old lady can take advantage of your kindness just as easily as a dude could.

I don't know. I think an older lady who is a widow and such, they tend to be more emotional, I would be less suspicious of that. Just my opinion.
