Dangerous neighborhoods in your city?

Are there any neighborhoods in your city that are considered dangerous?

Would you go to those places?

Do you (or have you ever) live in a bad neighborhood?

None that I know of. I've crossed the entire populated area on foot multiple times, and never felt unsafe anywhere.

Nice… come walk around some neighborhoods in my city and you won’t feel so safe.

I’ve lived in a few bad neighborhoods in my life.

They’re okay if you follow a few simple rules:

- Try not make eye contact with people.
- Mind your own business.
- Don’t go for a walk after dark, if you need to go somewhere, drive there.

The neighborhood I live in now is very nice though.

I don't feel safe around people in general. Especially with my next door neighbors. They're why I sleep with a gun by my bedside.

I don’t live in the city but I do my work all around central Florida. There is a town called pine hills, crime hills and for most cities it’s really not that bad. It’s the poorest area in central Florida but you don’t see the tent cities like other big cities have. In short it can be dangerous but it’s just not that bad.

They're drug heads who trashed out their house. This morning when I was getting in the car to take my kids to school, the guy and his girlfriend walked over and said they were going to be out of town for a few weeks for the holiday. They asked if I could watch the place. His girlfriend explained that her brother was trying to break in. They said that he was a really big tall man and call the police if I saw him hanging around their house. I was thinking, I hope he doesn't try to break into my house. Speaking of which, sometimes there are shady people who hang around their drive way. We think his son sells drugs to people and the police have been over there numerous times. While I've never had any severe issues with them, It's just one of those things you never know on.

Technically my address city is "Metropolis," and yes, it's the official home of Superman. You'd think crime would be ZERO lol

But in reality, I live out of city limits in the country. We don't have crime. It isn't a place for strangers to be in, and they know it. It's farmers and country folks who will likely shoot first and ask questions later. That's just what it is here.

I would try to investigate a disturbance, but yes, I would have a firearm on me.

Now for Metropolis, it's a small community but here in the states, we're having a fentanyl epidemic and methamphetamine is still actively used. Every now and then but very rarely there is murder. But there is a lot of theft, usually non-violent.

Across the river in Paducah, Kentucky - they are usually getting a murder a month and it seems to be growing.

We lived in a bad side of town but not because we chose to. We were in a housing program for 3-4 years so my parents could save up and look for an actual house. Thankfully they did and been in a better neighborhood ever since.

I'm not located in a bad side of a neighbor...but there is an area close by that is terribly bad...shootings every other day.

We have areas of the city that are more dangerous than others, but no where I wouldn't feel comfortable visiting. Time of day is important, too. I tend to want to be home right before or just after it's gotten dark. Mostly because I'm a homebody.

If you are a renter I'd say put your 30 days notice in and go somewhere else.

Same here, most crime happens after dark. At least around here.
